Baby Kara Sojin: 11th Anniversary of Late Singer’s Passing

It has been 11 years since the passing of former Baby Kara member, the late Ahn So Jin.

Ahn So Jin was found collapsed in a flower bed of an apartment complex in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon on February 24, 2015. A security guard discovered her and reported it, and she was taken to the hospital but ultimately passed away. She was 23 years old.

At the time, DSP Media, the agency So Jin was a trainee under, stated, “We express our condolences and sorrow at the sudden news of the deceased, who had been a trainee at our company for a long time.”

Kim Jae Kyung, a member of the group Rainbow, who was also under the same agency, mourned, “She was a friend who always reminded me of my original intentions. I hope she sings happily to her heart’s content there.” Member Noeul also expressed her condolences, saying, “She was a friend I really wanted to see succeed. It’s too late now to say anything, but I hope she lives happily without any pain in that place.”

Meanwhile, So Jin gained recognition by appearing on MBC’s ‘Kara Project,’ a show to select a new member for the group Kara. Ahn So Jin competed to fill the vacancy left by Kang Ji Young, who had left Kara, and advanced to the live broadcast but ultimately was eliminated.
