Tame Impala’s “Dracula” continues its impressive chart run, holding its peak position for a second consecutive week and marking an extraordinary 37 weeks on the charts, captivating audiences globally.
Initially a solo release by Tame Impala last October, “Dracula” experienced a massive surge in popularity following the release of its remix featuring K-pop superstar Jennie in February. This collaboration quickly went viral across short-form video platforms, propelling the track significantly higher in the rankings and capturing global attention.
Beyond “Dracula,” other K-pop acts also made their mark on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100. Global sensation BTS’s latest hit, “Swim,” charted for its 12th consecutive week, holding at No. 43 after a slight dip. Rising K-pop girl group Katseye also saw success, climbing five spots to No. 85 with their track “Pinky Up,” demonstrating strong chart momentum for these fan favorites.
The influence of K-pop extended prominently to the Billboard 200 albums chart, showcasing the genre’s diverse appeal and widespread artist success.
Leading the charge on the Billboard 200 was K-pop powerhouse BTS with their highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Arirang,” securing an impressive No. 11 position. The popular soundtrack for “KPop Demon Hunters” also featured strongly at No. 25. Further solidifying K-pop’s presence were Cortis’ “GreenGreen” at No. 50, Katseye’s “Beautiful Chaos” at No. 124, and their album “Soft is Strong” rounding out the chart at No. 200. Additionally, aespa’s “Lemonade” landed at No. 139, while Le Sserafim’s “Pureflow” entered at No. 177, collectively demonstrating the genre’s widespread album success and strong presence on global music charts.
