Hybe’s new label is officially named ABD, an acronym for its inspiring brand slogan, “A Bold Dream.” The company emphasizes ABD’s innovative approach, aiming to “imagine D instead of C after A and B,” signaling a fresh perspective in K-pop.
No Ji-won, the seasoned Head of Artist Planning at Hybe subsidiary Pledis Entertainment, will spearhead operations for the new ABD label.
Further bolstering the new venture, Pledis’ veteran producer Han Sung-soo is set to lead production for ABD’s highly anticipated new girl group. Han Sung-soo boasts an impressive track record, having previously guided successful artists such as Seventeen, After School, IZ*ONE, and TWS.
This upcoming debut will significantly expand Hybe’s already diverse roster of successful girl groups. These include Le Sserafim (under Source Music), NewJeans (under ADOR), ILLIT (under Belift Lab), and Katseye (under Hybe Labels), showcasing Hybe’s continued dominance in the global K-pop scene.
