BTS 'Arirang' Album Reigns Spotify Weekly Charts for Second Consecutive Week

K-pop sensation BTS continues its unprecedented global dominance, firmly holding the top spots across Spotify’s major charts. For the week spanning March 27 to Thursday, the beloved group remained number one on the Weekly Top Albums Global, Weekly Top Songs Global, and Weekly Top Artists Global charts, a testament to their enduring appeal, as confirmed by BigHit Music.

The global music streaming giant also saw BTS maintain its reign on the Daily Top Artists Global and Daily Top Songs Global charts for an impressive 14 consecutive days, following the highly anticipated release of their new album “Arirang” on March 20.

The album’s captivating main track, “Swim,” is not just making waves but creating a tsunami on YouTube. For the week of March 20, the powerful single amassed a staggering 83 million plays on YouTube’s global weekly chart, alongside a significant 6.2 million plays on the platform’s U.S. weekly chart, demonstrating its widespread international appeal.

Marking a monumental comeback, both the album “Arirang” and its lead single “Swim” achieved an extraordinary debut this week. “Arirang” soared to No. 1 on the prestigious U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart, while “Swim” simultaneously claimed the top spot on the fiercely competitive Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, solidifying BTS’s unparalleled influence in the music industry.

This triumphant return marks BTS’s first full seven-member group project in nearly four years, delighting ARMYs worldwide. To celebrate their comeback, the iconic group held a spectacular promotional concert for tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans at Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Plaza on March 21, generating immense excitement and media buzz.

Fans eager to experience BTS live can look forward to the “BTS World Tour Arirang,” set to kick off in Goyang, northwest of Seoul, on April 11. The global phenomenon will then embark on an extensive tour, captivating audiences in major cities across the world through 2027.
