BTS’s Jin Achieves Milestone: ‘Echo’ EP Surpasses 1.2 Billion Streams on Spotify.
Jin of the global sensation BTS has reached a remarkable milestone with his second solo EP, “Echo,” surpassing 1.2 billion streams on Spotify, according to an announcement by his label, Big Hit Music on Monday. The highly anticipated EP made a strong debut on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 3.
Fueled by the success of its lead track, “Don’t Say You Love Me,” “Echo” generated 1 billion streams in approximately seven months, solidifying its position as the most-streamed K-pop solo single on the platform last year. “Don’t Say You Love Me” also achieved significant success on major music charts, debuting at No. 13 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and at No. 10 on the UK Official Singles Top 100.
In related news, BTS released “Keep Swimming,” a remix album featuring the group’s reinterpretation of “Arirang” from their fifth album. The nine-track album showcases remixes from each of the seven members, offering diverse genre-bending takes on the “Arirang” lead track, “Swim.” Jin contributed an alternative rock remix to the project.
