This impressive feat surpasses their previous record of 3.37 million copies sold by their 2020 album, “Map of the Soul: 7,” solidifying their global dominance.

“Arirang” achieved million-seller status in a mere 10 minutes after its release. On its first day alone, the album sold an astounding 3.98 million units, marking the highest single-day sales figure for any album released in 2026, proving the unwavering popularity of the global superstars.

Beyond physical album sales, BTS’s comeback has taken over digital music platforms worldwide. “Arirang” soared to the top of the Apple Music charts in 115 countries and regions. The album also broke the record for the highest daily streaming total by any artist in Apple Music history on the day of its release, further cementing their place as global music icons.

The album’s lead single, “Swim,” an upbeat alternative pop track co-written by RM, held the number one position on Spotify’s global songs chart for six consecutive days, from March 20th to 25th, demonstrating the song’s instant appeal and replay value.

In Japan, BTS achieved a clean sweep of Oricon’s major music charts. “Arirang” topped the weekly combined, physical, and digital album charts, becoming the bestselling release of the year by an overseas artist, showcasing their immense popularity across international markets.
