BTS’s Jungkook has once again proven himself as a true “Super Icon of the Era.”
Recently, ‘Talk of the Charts’ unveiled its list of ‘Top 20 Artists with the Most Powerful Global Hit Songs from the 2020s to the Present’. Jungkook secured the 6th position among artists who released the most impactful global hits in 2023, standing out as the sole K-pop artist on the list.
Jungkook also ranked 36th in the consolidated ‘Top 50’ list of artists who have garnered the most attention over the past decade, uniquely representing K-pop solo artists. Despite having only one official solo album and around two months of official solo activities, he proudly shares the list with renowned names like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Taylor Swift.

Jungkook’s first solo album, ‘GOLDEN’, also earned the distinction of being the only K-pop solo album selected for the “Top 20 Albums with the Most Powerful Hit Songs of the 2020s” list. The album is recognized as the 20th most successful release of the 2020s.
With his 2023 releases, ‘Seven’ topping the Billboard Hot 100, ‘3D’ reaching 5th place, and ‘Standing Next To You’ also landing at 5th, Jungkook successfully placed all three of his solo tracks within the Top 5. All three songs achieved the coveted #1 spot on both the Billboard ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global Excl. US’ charts. Jungkook’s dominance extends to Spotify, where all three songs also topped the ‘Daily Top Songs Global’ chart, solidifying their status as global mega-hits.
Jungkook’s global influence is further highlighted by his inclusion in the “World’s 25 Most Famous People” list, alongside figures like soccer stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, entrepreneur Elon Musk, former US President Donald Trump, and pop icon Taylor Swift, making him the only K-pop artist on the list. He was also named in the “Top 15 Most Famous People in the World” by the American portal site ‘AOL’, one of only two male artists to be included alongside Justin Bieber.
