Perfect Weather Forecast for BTS’ Gwanghwamun Square Concert: 0% Chance of Rain, Mild Temperatures
Seoul is set to welcome BTS and their ARMY with near-perfect spring weather this Saturday for the K-pop sensation’s highly anticipated comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square. The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecasts daytime highs of around 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit), promising a comfortable atmosphere for fans gathering outdoors.
Attendees should be prepared for typical Korean springtime temperature fluctuations. As evening approaches, temperatures are expected to dip, so layering clothing and bringing a jacket is highly recommended for optimal comfort during the outdoor event.
The KMA anticipates temperatures to drop to approximately 4 degrees Celsius (39 degrees Fahrenheit) after 8 p.m. on Saturday, coinciding with the concert’s duration, and further decrease towards the event’s conclusion. The day’s projected low is approximately 1 degree Celsius (34 degrees Fahrenheit).
Similar weather conditions are predicted for Friday, the eve of the concert, with daytime temperatures reaching around 14 degrees Celsius (57 degrees Fahrenheit) before falling to around 6 degrees Celsius (43 degrees Fahrenheit) in the evening.
Korean weather officials advise attendees to wear lighter outerwear such as jackets, field jackets, and knitwear for temperatures between 12-16 degrees Celsius (54-61 degrees Fahrenheit). Heavier coats, thermal wear, leggings, or leather jackets are recommended for temperatures ranging from 5-8 degrees Celsius (41-46 degrees Fahrenheit).
While much of Korea experiences spring rain this Wednesday, skies are expected to clear in Seoul by Saturday for the BTS concert. The KMA forecasts a zero percent chance of rain, ensuring a dry and enjoyable outdoor experience for concertgoers.
However, the otherwise favorable weather forecast is tempered by concerns about air quality.
Ultrafine dust concentrations are projected to be “bad” in Seoul on Saturday. This is a common occurrence during the Korean spring, as airborne pollutants from China are often carried into the stagnant air over the Korean Peninsula, according to meteorologists. Concert attendees may want to consider wearing masks.

Authorities estimate that approximately 260,000 people will gather at Gwanghwamun Square for the free concert. Police will deploy around 6,500 personnel and establish 31 gates along the concert zone to manage crowds and prevent overcrowding.
Significant traffic controls will also be implemented in the vicinity. Sejong-daero, the road surrounding the square, will be closed to vehicular traffic from Friday night through 6 a.m. Sunday, specifically from Gwanghwamun to the City Hall intersection. Plan your route accordingly!
