Experience a unique journey through the new musical landscape of BTS at a specially curated pop-up event.
BTS is launching “BTS POP-UP : ARIRANG” at two locations in Seoul: the HYBE headquarters in Yongsan-gu and the Shinsegae Department Store Main Branch Heritage building, running from March 20th to April 12th. Pre-booking will be available through the global fan platform Weverse starting March 13th at 5 PM. To ensure a comfortable experience for all visitors, reservation slots will be opened sequentially across the event’s three-week duration.
This pop-up focuses on reinterpreting the Korean aesthetics inherent in the new album “ARIRANG” with a modern sensibility. Through a visually stunning exhibition embodying the album’s message, visitors can experience the narrative BTS conveys in a three-dimensional way. Upon entering, guests will be greeted by a large-scale sculpture visualizing the album title “ARIRANG” and the Big Dipper constellation etched on the floor. Concept photos, LPs, and physical albums will be strategically placed to captivate attention.
The Shinsegae Department Store Main Branch will host diverse interactive content linked to the album’s concept. “ARIRANG MEARI” offers an experiential activity where participants select words that represent their identity and roll them across a table. The sounds and movements created as the balls collide provide an immersive experience engaging both sight and sound. Additionally, combination-based digital programs like “What is your love song?”, where you create your own graphic image from the album’s tracklist, will be available. The pop-up store located on the 1st floor of the HYBE building will also showcase designs reflecting the core concept of the new album.
The pop-up will feature an exhibition of the “ARIRANG” album and official merchandise. The collaboration with ‘MU:DS,’ the merchandise brand of the National Museum of Korea Cultural Foundation, is expected to garner significant interest. Traditional patterns and decorations etched on actual artifacts have been reinterpreted in a modern style, enhancing their collectible value. In addition to the MU:DS collaboration items, official merchandise from the new album will also be available. On March 21st, a “on-site pickup” service will be offered for those visiting Gwanghwamun Square to see “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE|ARIRANG.” Customers can purchase merchandise through Weverse Shop within a 10km radius of the event location on the day of the performance and pick up their products at a designated location near the venue.
“ARIRANG,” releasing on March 20th at 1 PM, is BTS’s first full-length album in approximately 6 years and 1 month. Produced by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, it features 14 tracks showcasing “the current BTS.” The title track “SWIM” sings about the attitude of continuing to swim through the waves of life without stopping. It expresses the will to calmly overcome the oncoming currents at one’s own pace with a ‘love for life.’
