SHINee’s Taemin Joins Galaxy Corp., an ‘Enter-Tech’ Company, Ahead of Coachella Debut
Taemin, a prominent member of the globally renowned K-pop group SHINee and a successful solo artist, has officially signed an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corp., an innovative AI entertainment technology company that is also home to K-pop icon G-Dragon, the agency announced Tuesday.
“Galaxy Corp. is thrilled to announce the exclusive contract signing with the exceptionally talented artist, Taemin,” the company stated in a press release, Wednesday. “We are committed to providing comprehensive support to enable Taemin’s unique artistic vision to flourish and create a powerful synergy with our cutting-edge technology.”
Galaxy Corp. positions itself as Korea’s leading AI entertainment technology company, pioneering an “enter-tech” business model by seamlessly integrating artificial intelligence, robotics, and engaging entertainment content. According to the company, the strategic signing of Taemin aligns perfectly with its ongoing mission to enhance the value of artists’ intellectual property through the application of advanced digital technologies.
This move places Taemin alongside a star-studded roster of talent at Galaxy Corp., including iconic singer G-Dragon, acclaimed actor Song Kang-ho, and popular entertainer Kim Jong-kook.
Previously, Taemin spent a significant portion of his career under the management of SM Entertainment before transitioning to Big Planet Made Entertainment. His new partnership with Galaxy Corp. is anticipated to foster a diverse range of global projects that expertly blend entertainment with emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
Adding to the excitement, the multi-talented singer is gearing up for a highly anticipated performance at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, scheduled for April 11 and 18. This performance will mark a historic moment as he becomes the first Korean male solo artist to grace the stage at this major US music festival.
Taemin made his debut in 2008 as a core member of SHINee, playing a pivotal role in propelling the group to international fame with chart-topping hits like “Replay,” “Ring Ding Dong,” and “View.” Since embarking on his solo journey in 2014, he has solidified his position as one of K-pop’s most distinctive and influential performers through releases such as “Danger,” “Move,” and “Want.”
