Seventeen’s DK and Seungkwan achieve Gold Certification in Japan! Their agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced that their first EP, “Serenade,” has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on Tuesday.
The mini album exceeded 100,000 shipments in Japan, marking DK and Seungkwan as Seventeen’s third subunit to earn this prestigious gold certification. They follow in the footsteps of Junghan and Wonwoo, and S.Coups and Mingyu. As a full group, Seventeen has achieved gold certification with an impressive 18 albums.
“Serenade” debuted at the top of Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking and maintained its No. 1 position on the chart dated February 5th, showcasing its popularity in Japan.
In other news, Seventeen’s track “Love, Money, Fame (feat. DJ Khaled)” recently surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. The lead track from their 12th EP, “Spill the Feels,” becomes their 19th song to reach this streaming milestone.
Seventeen is also gearing up to resume their highly anticipated “Follow Again” tour, starting on February 28th in Hong Kong.
