Police will deploy special forces and exert full effort on safety management for BTS’s comeback performance in Gwanghwamun, officials announced.
Park Jung-bo, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, addressed questions about the BTS performance in Gwanghwamun during a regular press briefing on [Date]. “The Seoul Police Agency has appointed the Head of Public Safety as the task force (TF) leader, and all departments are preparing to ensure the event is safe,” he stated. “We will divide the area into 15 zones, with a superintendent-level officer responsible for each zone.”
BTS is scheduled to hold ‘BTS Comeback Live: Arirang’ at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul at 8 PM on March 21st. This comeback performance, celebrating the release of their new album of the same name, will feature the world premiere of a new song by BTS in Gwanghwamun Square, one of Korea’s most iconic locations.
This marks the first time a solo artist will hold a performance in Gwanghwamun Square, and with it being BTS’s first full group return after their hiatus, a large crowd is expected to gather near the performance venue. This event is highly anticipated by ARMY (BTS Fanbase).
Regarding this, Chief Park Jung-bo stated, “We anticipate that up to 260,000 people could gather if the area from across the Gwanghwamun Woltae to Sungnyemun is filled. We are preparing for the maximum possible attendance. We will deploy 13 violent crime investigation teams from 9 police stations in Seoul to respond immediately to criminal incidents, and we will also deploy special police forces for suppression activities.”

Meanwhile, on [Date] at 0:00 AM KST, BTS unveiled the ticket purchase and application methods for attending ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ on the global superfan platform Weverse.
Ticketing for this performance is divided into general free tickets and Weverse Global applications. General free tickets will be available for reservation from 8 PM on [Date] through NOL Ticket, and anyone can participate without any specific conditions. Detailed reservation methods will be available on Weverse and NOL Ticket at noon on [Date]. A Weverse Global application event for ARMY is also underway. ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ will take place at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21st at 8 PM.
