BTS’s Jin radiated his acclaimed ‘Silver Voice’ charm, captivating audiences and brilliantly lighting up the World Cup Final Halftime Show.
BTS delivered an electrifying performance of their hit song ‘Dynamite,’ following Madonna, at the 2026 North American World Cup Final Halftime Show, which took place on July 20 (Korean time).
Jin, dressed in a striking red outfit, commanded the stage with powerful choreography and delivered impressive high notes during the song’s highlight. His performance immediately resonated with fans worldwide, leading “JIN AT FIFA WORLD CUP” to trend in real-time on X (formerly Twitter) in the United States and numerous other countries.

Jin’s distinguished nickname, ‘Grammy Silver Voice,’ is officially recognized and listed on the English-language dictionary site Urban Dictionary. Lim Hyung-joo, a renowned classical and popera singer and a Grammy selection committee member, coined the term ‘Silver Voice’ (meaning silvery voice) for Jin. He lauded Jin’s exceptional vocal abilities, highlighting his stable breath control, rich and moist falsetto, natural vibrato, and the seamless ease with which he transitions between chest and head voices.

Jin previously garnered another memorable nickname, ‘Orange Suit Guy,’ when BTS showcased their ‘Dynamite’ performance at the Grammys. This particular moniker became widely known among the BTS members themselves after RM mentioned on American radio that Jin had become famous as the ‘Orange Suit Guy’ on Twitter.
Jin’s first solo world tour, “RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR,” received widespread critical acclaim. The UK’s Rolling Stone awarded it a perfect 5-star rating, hailing Jin as “a one-of-a-kind, unrivaled entertainer in the world.” France’s Paris Match praised Jin’s undeniable humor, impeccable stage presence, and genre-defying performance skills, describing them as a perfect gift for his dedicated fans. Furthermore, Forbes in the US conducted an insightful analysis of his performances, noting his remarkably stable vocals even when navigating complex high notes, and commending his demonstration of exceptional skill through his expansive vocal range and precise high-note control.

In a review of ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ – held in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, last March to celebrate the release of BTS’s 5th album – the British daily newspaper The Guardian highlighted vocalist Jin’s performance, stating that he “powerfully led the rock elements, leaving a strong impression.”
Following their impactful performance at the World Cup Final Halftime Show, BTS is scheduled to continue their highly anticipated ‘ARIRANG’ world tour. The next stops will be on August 2 and 3 (Korean time) at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, promising more unforgettable performances for their global fanbase.
