Jungkook's 'Seven' Dominates Billboard Charts for 156 Weeks

BTS member Jungkook has made history, charting his first solo debut single, ‘Seven,’ on the U.S. Billboard ‘Global (Excl. U.S.)’ chart for an astonishing 156 consecutive weeks.

As of the July 18th update, Jungkook’s hit single ‘Seven’ secured the 181st spot on the ‘Global (Excl. U.S.)’ chart. This remarkable achievement marks it as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist on this prestigious chart. Furthermore, on the same day, ‘Seven’ held the 21st position on Billboard Korea’s ‘Global K-Songs’ chart, extending its run to a total of 33 weeks.

Jungkook’s other successful solo tracks also continued their impressive presence on various Billboard sub-charts. ‘Standing Next To You’ claimed the 73rd spot, while ‘3D’ ranked 86th, with both songs maintaining their positions on the ‘Global K-Songs’ chart for 33 consecutive weeks, highlighting his consistent global appeal.

Prior to its current run, ‘Seven’ had already made history by securing the #1 spot on the ‘Global (Excl. U.S.)’ chart for 9 consecutive weeks. The track also achieved a phenomenal debut, reaching #1 on the highly coveted Billboard ‘Hot 100’ main singles chart, where it remained for 15 weeks.

Beyond Billboard, ‘Seven’ has also maintained its impressive presence on the streaming platform Spotify’s main chart, ‘Weekly Top Songs Global,’ for an incredible 156 weeks. This makes it the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist on the platform. Adding to its accolades, ‘Seven’ is the first song by an Asian artist and the first 2023 release to surpass an astounding 3.02 billion streams globally.

The official music video for ‘Seven,’ available on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel, has also achieved massive success, surpassing 625 million views, demonstrating the song’s widespread appeal and Jungkook’s powerful visuals.
