K-pop sensation Dino of SEVENTEEN is gearing up to introduce his highly anticipated alter ego, Picheolin, with the release of a special prerelease single. This exciting launch precedes Picheolin’s debut EP, signaling a new era for the artist.
Pledis Entertainment officially confirmed that Picheolin’s first single, titled “Lovesick,” will drop on Wednesday at 6 p.m. KST, building immense excitement among fans.
Fans recently got a glimpse of “Lovesick” through its captivating music video teaser released on Monday. The preview teases a nostalgic city pop sound, enriched by the distinctive narration of veteran singer Lee Moon-sae. Visually, the teaser showcases SEVENTEEN’s Dino fully embodying Picheolin, delivering cinematic performances like dancing solo under a streetlight and traversing vibrant cityscapes, promising a visually stunning musical experience.
The Picheolin project is set for a comprehensive rollout, with the full EP track list scheduled for release on July 20. Following this, fans can anticipate more teasers and the second prerelease track, “Crazy Crazy,” on July 22. The excitement culminates with teasers for the main title track on August 1 and 2, leading up to the grand release of Picheolin’s highly anticipated first EP, “Gilboard,” on August 3.
Pledis Entertainment revealed that the debut EP, “Gilboard,” promises a unique reinterpretation of 1990s street culture through Picheolin’s distinct artistic lens. The album will seamlessly blend diverse musical genres, deeply rooted in the Korean spirit. Picheolin is envisioned by the agency as a “producer on the streets,” adept at sampling everyday human stories and transforming them into compelling musical narratives.
Beyond the music, Dino will further engage with fans by hosting the special “Dino x Picheolin Fan Concert,” scheduled to take place from August 21 to 23. This event offers an exclusive opportunity for fans to experience Picheolin’s world live.
A prominent figure in K-pop, Dino first debuted as the youngest member of SEVENTEEN in May 2015 with their successful EP, “17 Carat.” His extensive artistic contributions extend beyond SEVENTEEN’s group releases; he has actively participated in numerous music productions, showcasing his versatility. Notably, Dino released his first solo mixtape, “Wait,” in 2023, and contributed the solo track “Trigger” to SEVENTEEN’s 2025 album, “Happy Burstday.” This rich background solidifies his standing as a multifaceted artist ready for this new solo venture.
