BTS’s acclaimed 2020 release, “Life Goes On,” has officially surpassed 600 million views on YouTube as of Sunday, their agency Big Hit Music confirmed. This latest achievement highlights the track’s enduring global popularity.
The music video, celebrated for its warm and natural visuals, was personally directed by BTS member Jungkook. It delivered a powerful message of hope and comfort to fans worldwide during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic. The poignant ballad, featured on the septet’s seventh EP “Be,” saw significant songwriting contributions from members RM, Suga, and J-Hope. Notably, “Life Goes On” made history by becoming the first song primarily performed in Korean to top the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Beyond YouTube, “Life Goes On” also reached a monumental milestone on Spotify, accumulating over 1 billion streams by March. Demonstrating its continued resonance, the track impressively re-entered Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart that same month, joining other beloved hits from their fifth studio album, “Arirang.”
Looking ahead, BTS is scheduled to perform in Paris this coming weekend. This concert marks the final stop of the European leg of their tour, which shares its name with the highly successful “Be” LP.
