The British Museum is hosting a special program inspired by global sensation BTS’ latest album, “Arirang,” as part of the group’s immersive “The City Arirang” fan festival that accompanies their world tour stop in London.
This unique program, running until July 23, is located at the museum’s Korea Gallery, featuring an interactive exhibition titled “Korea Gallery Trail.” It invites visitors to delve into Korean cultural artifacts directly linked to the profound themes of BTS’ fifth studio album, “Arirang.”
As confirmed by Big Hit Music, this captivating program expertly connects selected permanent exhibits with the album’s central themes of hope, resilience, and belonging. Among the featured Korean cultural artifacts are a traditional sarangbang — a Korean reception room symbolizing new beginnings — the iconic moon jar, representing humanity, exquisite gold earrings showcasing centuries of Korean craftsmanship, and decorative roof tiles that vividly reflect Korea’s enduring cultural heritage.
The immersive exhibition also proudly showcases relics from the ancient Silla period, specifically inspired by the resonant sound of the Bell of King Seongdeok, a significant reference in the album’s sixth track, “No. 29.”

To enhance the experience, visitors can easily scan QR codes strategically placed at the entrance to the Korea Gallery. This allows them to follow the unique exhibition route and actively participate in a global social media campaign. As part of this interactive journey, guests are encouraged to answer the thought-provoking question, “What is your Arirang?” by sharing the Korean artifact that resonates most deeply with their personal lives.
Beyond the museum, “The City Arirang” in London has masterfully transformed various iconic locations across the city into vibrant, BTS-themed cultural spaces. These spaces offer a diverse array of exhibitions, dynamic performances, and engaging interactive fan events, all designed to celebrate both the global K-pop group’s groundbreaking music and the richness of Korean culture.
Following their two massively sold-out concerts in London on July 6 and 7, BTS is set to continue the highly anticipated European leg of their world tour. Upcoming stops include Munich on July 11 and 12, and Paris on July 17 and 18, further extending their global reach.
BTS consistently maintains a formidable presence on the prestigious Billboard music charts. Their track “Swim” notably remained on the Billboard Hot 100 for an impressive 15th consecutive week, securing the No. 76 spot on the latest chart dated July 11. Furthermore, the album “Arirang” achieved a remarkable No. 19 position on the Billboard 200, while five individual songs charted on the Global 200, and an astounding 11 tracks made their mark on the Global Excl. US ranking, underscoring their unparalleled global appeal.
