This upcoming release, “How Far Are You?,” is Kim Gun-mo’s first offering since his 2016 EP “50,” which celebrated the 25th anniversary of his illustrious career. The new single is a captivating remake of the title track from veteran Korean folk singer Jeon Young’s 1977 debut album.
Fans can expect a fresh sound, as “How Far Are You?” will showcase Kim Gun-mo performing on guitar for the very first time in his career. This innovative approach sees him stepping away from the iconic piano performances that have long defined his legendary music.
The announcement of this new single closely follows the successful conclusion of Kim Gun-mo’s 2025-2026 nationwide tour. This sold-out tour marked his triumphant return to the music scene after a six-year hiatus, reigniting excitement among his dedicated fanbase.
Indeed, the entire 2025-2026 tour was a resounding success, with every stop selling out. The tour kicked off with a Busan concert where tickets vanished in a mere two minutes upon going on sale in September 2025. This extensive six-month tour captivated audiences across the nation, making stops in major cities like Daegu, Suwon, Daejeon, Incheon, and Changwon, before culminating in a grand finale concert at Seoul’s iconic Jamsil Indoor Stadium in March.
