Boy Group Individual Brand Reputation May 2026
BTS’s Jimin has once again demonstrated his exceptional popularity by claiming the top spot in the May 2026 individual boy group brand reputation rankings.
The May 2026 big data analysis of individual boy group brand reputation revealed BTS’s Jimin at number one, Wanna One’s Park Jihoon at number two, and BTS’s Jungkook at number three.
The Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation analyzed 73,323,673 pieces of brand big data for 755 individual boy group members from April 16, 2026, to May 16, 2026. The brand reputation index was calculated based on participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. This figure marks a 36.57% decrease compared to the 115,591,013 pieces of boy group brand big data collected in April.
The brand reputation index is a metric designed to reflect how consumers’ online habits influence brand consumption. This analysis included positive and negative evaluations, media interest, consumer interest and communication volume measurements, brand value assessment, and qualitative evaluation, with a recommendation index applied as a weighted factor.
The top 30 individual boy group brand reputations for May 2026 were, in order: BTS Jimin, Wanna One Park Jihoon, BTS Jungkook, BTS Jin, BTS V, BIGBANG G-Dragon, BTS RM, TVXQ Yunho, BTS J-Hope, BTS Suga, Wanna One Kim Jaehwan, Wanna One Hwang Minhyun, EXO Baekhyun, Cortis Gunho, Super Junior Heechul, Wanna One Lai Kuanlin, Highlight Yoon Doojoon, Wanna One Ong Seongwu, Wanna One Bae Jinyoung, Super Junior Siwon, WINNER Lee Seunghoon, SHINee Minho, Super Junior Kyuhyun, RIIZE Wonbin, TWS Dohoon, Cortis Seonghyun, SHINee Key, BIGBANG Daesung, Wanna One Yoon Jisung, and EXO Kai.
BTS Jimin’s brand, which secured the 1st position, recorded a total brand reputation index of 6,447,417. This was composed of a participation index of 235,140, a media index of 532,488, a communication index of 2,688,731, and a community index of 2,991,057. This figure represents a 44.63% decrease compared to his brand reputation index of 11,644,101 in April.
Wanna One Park Jihoon’s brand ranked 2nd with a brand reputation index of 5,510,360, a 60.65% decrease from 14,004,945 in April. BTS Jungkook’s brand, ranking 3rd, recorded a brand reputation index of 5,494,822, down 39.96% from 9,151,873 in April. BTS Jin’s brand came in 4th with 3,782,172, reflecting a 56.86% decrease, and BTS V’s brand ranked 5th with 3,673,361, a 47.86% decrease.
Ku Chang-hwan, Director of the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation, commented on the May 2026 individual boy group brand reputation big data analysis, stating, “BTS Jimin’s brand secured the 1st position. A detailed analysis of the boy group individual brand category shows a 35.87% decrease in big data compared to the 115,591,013 pieces collected in April. Breaking it down further, brand consumption decreased by 54.19%, brand issue by 55.81%, brand communication by 23.45%, and brand spread by 26.98%.”
He added, “For BTS Jimin’s brand, which topped the May 2026 individual boy group brand reputation rankings, the link analysis showed high scores for keywords like ‘perfect,’ ‘enthusiastic,’ and ‘breakthrough.’ Keyword analysis prominently featured ‘ARMY,’ ‘World Tour,’ and ‘Mexico.’ The positive-negative ratio analysis indicated a highly favorable 92.97% positive sentiment.”
