HD Construction Equipment proudly announced Tuesday that its pioneering emergency automated equipment stop technology, known as E-Stop, has received the esteemed SaMoTer Innovation Award in Italy. This significant recognition further solidifies HD Construction Equipment’s strategic expansion within Europe’s highly regulated and safety-conscious construction market.
The award-winning E-Stop system is an advanced safety solution designed to automatically activate brakes on heavy construction machinery. Utilizing sophisticated onboard cameras and radar sensors, it precisely detects the presence of people or objects within the equipment’s operational radius. Powered by cutting-edge AI deep learning capabilities, this innovative technology exhibits remarkable accuracy, distinguishing human workers from other site elements to prevent accidents effectively.
Beyond its detection prowess, the E-Stop system offers dynamic safety responses. It intelligently self-adjusts between a controlled deceleration and an immediate full-stop, adapting to preset distances on the construction site. This intelligent functionality significantly enhances both workplace safety standards and overall operational efficiency.
The efficacy of HD Construction Equipment’s E-Stop technology was successfully demonstrated in September at the prestigious Seine canal project. Organized by OPPBTP, the French Labor Ministry’s construction safety agency, the demonstration garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback from leading European contractors, affirming its real-world applicability and impact.

A particular highlight was the debut of their newly launched next-generation large excavator, the DX400HD-9, underscoring their commitment to innovation across all segments.
