Koyote members Kim Jong Min and Bbaekga joyfully reunited with Shinji for her wedding ceremony, celebrating the special occasion together.
On the 2nd, celebrity stylist Kim Woori delighted fans by sharing a video featuring Shinji, Kim Jong Min, and Bbaekga together in the bride’s waiting room, capturing a heartwarming moment from the wedding day.
In the clip, the iconic trio beams with bright smiles as they pose for the camera, showcasing their long-standing camaraderie.
Kim Woori penned a touching message to Shinji, declaring her “the most beautiful bride in the world today.” He continued, “My dearest younger sister Shinji, congratulations on your wedding! I hope your entire life is as beautiful and happy as today. Your oppa and unnie will always support and pray for you.”
Chae Ri Na, also present with Kim Woori, shared her heartfelt wishes, saying, “To me, you’ve always been like a whining baby. Now that you’ve found a wonderful partner, your unnie truly prays for our Jisun’s happiness. You look absolutely radiant. I love you.” She further emphasized her affection with hashtags like ‘I love you’ and ‘Let’s be happy.’
Shinji married Mun Won, who is seven years her junior, at the Raum Art Center in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, after three years of devoted dating. The wedding ceremony was officiated by comedian Moon Se Yoon, with close friends and renowned singers Baek Ji Young and Ailee performing congratulatory songs, adding a star-studded touch to the event.
The couple’s journey began in 2024 when Mun Won appeared as a guest on MBC Standard FM’s ‘Lee Yoon Seok and Shinji’s Single-Bungle Show.’ Their connection blossomed into a romantic relationship that same year, leading to an engagement the following year.
News of their impending marriage first surfaced in June last year after they held their wedding photoshoot. Shinji later officially announced their union on her Instagram in January, stating, “Living together, we’ve grown stronger, built trust, found complete support in each other, and become more reliant on one another. We’ve become even more solid.” She added, “Mun Won and I are planning our wedding in May to mark the beginning of the second act of my life.”
However, the couple encountered unexpected controversies following their wedding announcement. During a video on Shinji’s YouTube channel, where she introduced Mun Won to her Koyote bandmates Kim Jong Min and Bbaekga, it was revealed that Mun Won is a divorcé with children from a previous marriage. This revelation sparked a torrent of various allegations against Mun Won, including infidelity, bullying of subordinates during military service, and real estate fraud, causing significant public uproar.
Consequently, many expressed opposition to Shinji’s marriage. In response to these concerns, Mun Won issued a clarification, stating, “Claims of bullying friends or subordinates during my school days and military service are absolutely false.” He further explained that his divorce from his ex-wife was by mutual agreement and that he worked as an assistant real estate agent after completing vocational training. He firmly denied all other allegations.
Addressing the public’s concerns surrounding her marriage, Shinji commented, “I am well aware of everyone’s loving worries and concerns. I will not forget them and will continue to move forward, step by step, with unwavering consistency and a grateful heart.”
Currently, the couple has already moved in together and actively shares glimpses of their daily life in their newlywed home through their YouTube channel. They recently offered a sneak peek into their pre-marriage daily life on KBS 2TV’s ‘New Release Stars at One-Sided Love Restaurant.’ Furthermore, after their marriage, they are set to showcase their wedding preparations and intimate newlywed life on MBN’s upcoming show ‘Precious Family from Another’s Home.’
