K-pop group TWS has achieved a significant career milestone, with their fifth EP selling over 830,000 copies on its release day. This remarkable achievement marks a new personal best for the group in terms of single-day album sales, as announced by their agency, Pledis Entertainment, on Tuesday.
The highly anticipated mini-album, titled “No Tragedy,” which dropped on Monday, immediately surpassed the cumulative sales of their previous EP, “Play Hard.” Its strong debut propelled it to the top of Korea’s daily album sales chart. With pre-orders exceeding an impressive 1.16 million units, expectations are soaring for “No Tragedy” to become TWS’s first-ever million-selling album.
Beyond its robust sales, the new EP is also making waves on music charts. The focus track, “You, You,” successfully entered Melon’s prestigious Top 100 chart. Furthermore, all six tracks from the mini-album charted on LINE Music’s real-time chart in Japan, showcasing TWS’s growing international appeal. Group member Dohoon also contributed creatively, participating in writing the heartfelt lyrics for the lead single, which expresses profound feelings for a fated “you.”
