K-pop boy group DKZ, comprising members Sehyeon, Mingyu, Jaechan, Juwon, and Kiseok, is officially disbanding after a 7-year journey in the music industry.
On April 15th, DKZ’s agency, Dongyo Entertainment, released an official statement confirming the K-pop group’s disbandment. The agency stated, “Following extensive discussions with the members, we have mutually agreed to conclude DKZ’s group activities after their scheduled commitments wrap up on May 31, 2026.”
Looking ahead to the DKZ members’ future, Dongyo Entertainment clarified, “Sehyeon, Mingyu, Jaechan, Juwon, and Kiseok will embark on individual activities and connect with fans starting from June 2026.”
The agency further detailed that “Jaechan and Juwon have successfully renewed their contracts with Dongyo Entertainment and will continue their diverse activities under our label. Similarly, Sehyeon, Mingyu, and Kiseok will also pursue new paths as artists affiliated with our agency. Dongyo Entertainment pledges its unwavering and full support for the individual endeavors of all five members moving forward.”
DKZ’s journey began in April 2019 when they debuted as ‘Dongkiz.’ The group officially rebranded to DKZ in 2022. During their career, member Jaechan garnered widespread recognition for his starring role in the popular Watcha BL drama ‘Semantic Error,’ significantly boosting the group’s profile.

First, we sincerely thank all the fans who have shown unwavering love and support for DKZ.
After thorough discussions with the members, we have agreed to conclude group activities with the schedule planned until May 31, 2026.
We deeply appreciate the precious efforts and time of the members who have led the team brightly for the past 7 years, Jaechan and Juwon,
as well as Sehyeon, Mingyu, and Kiseok, who joined in 2022 and became a strong force. We also extend our gratitude once again to all the fans who have accompanied us on this brilliant journey.
Sehyeon, Mingyu, Jaechan, Juwon, and Kiseok are scheduled to meet fans through individual activities starting from June 2026.
Jaechan and Juwon, who have completed their contract renewal with our agency, will continue to be active in various fields, and Sehyeon, Mingyu, and Kiseok will also move forward as artists under our agency.
