Ok Taecyeon, a member of the boy group 2PM and an accomplished actor, has temporarily postponed his honeymoon to prioritize preparations for an upcoming concert in Japan.
According to StarNews on the 27th, Ok Taecyeon did not immediately embark on his honeymoon after marrying his non-celebrity partner, who is four years his junior, on April 24th. The private wedding ceremony took place at The Shilla Seoul’s Yeong Bin Gwan in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. This delay in his honeymoon plans has been confirmed as a schedule adjustment to accommodate the highly anticipated 2PM concert.
2PM is set to hold their exclusive concert, ‘THE RETURN,’ at Tokyo Dome in Japan on May 9th and 10th. This significant event marks a full six-member concert commemorating their 15th anniversary since their debut in Japan. It will be their first local concert in approximately 2 years and 7 months since their performance at Tokyo Ariake Arena in October 2023. The return of the full group to Tokyo Dome is particularly meaningful, as it has been roughly 10 years since their last performance there before members began their military enlistments in 2016.
All 2PM members are currently dedicating themselves to rigorous practice sessions as they prepare to meet their Japanese fans. Ok Taecyeon, too, has reportedly put his honeymoon on hold to focus entirely on the concert preparations. He plans to depart for his honeymoon once the concert schedule is successfully completed.
Meanwhile, despite Ok Taecyeon’s wedding being held privately, photos from the ceremony were circulated online in China, sparking controversy. These widely shared images reportedly exposed the non-celebrity bride’s face without any mosaic, leading to concerns and accusations of privacy invasion. It is believed that these photos were taken by a tourist staying in a nearby hotel, captured from their room window.
Ok Taecyeon and his bride’s journey culminated in marriage after more than a decade of dating. The wedding ceremony saw a full attendance from all 2PM members, including Lee Junho, Jun. K, Nichkhun, Jang Wooyoung, and Hwang Chansung, who performed a congratulatory song. Hwang Chansung, the sole married member of 2PM, also served as the officiant for the wedding, adding a special touch to the occasion. Following his wedding, Ok Taecyeon even shared an update about his recent activity, having watched the movie ‘Salmokji’ to show support for actress Kim Hye-yoon.
Earlier, Ok Taecyeon personally announced his impending marriage to his non-celebrity partner in November of last year. He conveyed the joyful news through a heartfelt handwritten letter, stating, “I have promised to spend a lifetime with someone who has understood and trusted me for a long time. We will be a strong presence for each other and continue our lives together in the future.”
Furthermore, on December 31st of last year, while accepting the Excellence Award at the ‘2025 KBS Drama Awards,’ Ok Taecyeon publicly expressed his gratitude and love, saying, “I sincerely thank my fiancée. I love you.” Earlier that same year, in February, photos of him kneeling and proposing to his bride in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, were leaked, creating a buzz among fans and media alike.
