Nol Universe, a leading player in the travel industry, announced a strategic partnership with Japanese hotel distribution giant Apple World on Monday. This collaboration aims to significantly expand overseas sales channels for Korean accommodations while attracting a greater influx of inbound travelers to South Korea.
Apple World, a prominent global hotel booking platform, serves Japanese travel agencies with access to an extensive network of over 400,000 properties across more than 200 countries. Notably, the company has recently bolstered its Korean accommodation inventory, directly addressing the surging demand for travel to South Korea among Japanese tourists.
As part of this landmark agreement, Nol Universe will integrate approximately 30,000 premium Korean accommodation listings directly into Apple World’s robust distribution network. This expansive network effectively reaches numerous Japanese travel agencies and various global booking channels, maximizing visibility for Korean properties.
This strategic alliance is set to offer Korean lodging operators unprecedented broader access to international overseas customers. Simultaneously, it significantly simplifies the process for Japanese travelers to effortlessly book accommodations in Korea, leveraging a trusted and familiar local travel platform.
Both companies are targeting completion of their seamless system integration within the third quarter. Furthermore, this collaboration is reciprocal: Apple World’s extensive hotel inventory in Japan will be progressively incorporated into Nol Universe’s platform, thereby vastly expanding accommodation options for Korean travelers seeking experiences in Japan.
Nol Universe emphasizes that this pivotal partnership strongly underpins its overarching strategy to fortify its global business-to-business (B2B) distribution network. This move is crucial for simultaneously expanding both its inbound and outbound travel businesses through robust overseas partnerships.
“This marks Nol Universe’s inaugural hotel distribution partnership specifically within the Japanese market, presenting significant new global growth opportunities for our valued accommodation partners across Korea,” stated Oliver Libutzki, head of the Global Business Group at Nol Universe.
He further elaborated, “Our commitment remains to continuously expand our global distribution network, ensuring that vibrant Korean travel content reaches a broader spectrum of international travelers and robustly supporting the sustained growth of inbound tourism.”
