K-pop idol Yunho, a prominent member of the globally popular group Ateez, has reportedly ended his long-term relationship with a non-celebrity partner. The news of Yunho’s breakup comes from a local media report published on Wednesday.
The Ateez singer is understood to have concluded the relationship approximately three months prior and has maintained no further contact with his former partner.
Sources close to Yunho indicated that the pair had maintained a friendship since their school days, which later blossomed into a romantic relationship that lasted for many years.
Furthermore, the media outlet quoted an official from KQ Entertainment, Yunho’s agency, who confirmed that the idol had personally verified the breakup. The official added that Yunho has not met or spoken with his former partner since their separation.
When contacted by The Korea Herald regarding the report, KQ Entertainment did not provide confirmation for the claims.
Speculation about Yunho’s relationship status had previously been a topic of discussion across online K-pop communities. However, neither the Ateez idol nor KQ Entertainment had publicly addressed these rumors until now.
Yunho made his debut as a member of Ateez in 2018, and the group has since achieved significant activity both within South Korea and internationally. Their recent 14th EP, “Golden Hour: Part.5,” launched on June 26, notably secured the top spot on the Billboard 200, the primary US albums chart, showcasing Ateez’s global impact.
