K-pop sensation Cortis has achieved a significant milestone, securing its 50th No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Korea chart. This remarkable feat sets a new record for a boy group, as announced by their agency, Big Hit Music, on Tuesday.
The burgeoning rookie band reached this impressive accomplishment with “Redred,” the lead single from their highly successful second EP, “Greengreen.” The track swiftly amassed over 100 million streams on the global music platform in under two months, demonstrating Cortis’s rapidly growing popularity.
As of last week, the dynamic five-member K-pop act had garnered an astounding 200 million streams on Spotify from their second EP alone. Their total streams across all releases have now surpassed 800 million, an extraordinary achievement given that Cortis is yet to celebrate its first anniversary since debut.
Looking ahead, Cortis is set to embark on its inaugural international tour, commencing with a two-night spectacular in Incheon this July. The expansive tour schedule includes nine stops and 14 shows, reaching fans across the globe. Additionally, the group will mark their highly anticipated US festival debut at Lollapalooza Chicago in August, standing out as the sole K-pop boy band to perform at the prestigious event this year.
