Busan was electrified with BTS fervor on Friday, as the city prepared to host the global K-pop sensation’s highly anticipated two-day concert. On the eve of BTS’ 13th debut anniversary, fans from across the globe converged on the South Korean city, greeted by spectacular themed displays. These included a blimp soaring with messages for BTS member Jungkook and buses adorned with striking images of the beloved group members, marking the grand opening of the celebration.

Ahead of their “Arirang” world tour stop at the iconic Busan Asiad Main Stadium, BTS expressed immense joy at reuniting with their dedicated fanbase, known collectively as ARMY, on home soil in South Korea. “We are so happy to be able to enjoy this special day with our Army once again in Korea,” the globally acclaimed K-pop group stated in a press release issued by agency BigHit Music on Friday.
This particular concert series holds profound significance for BTS, as Busan marked the location of their last performance before the members embarked on their mandatory military service. The group emphasized, “That makes this occasion even more meaningful. We hope to create enjoyable memories together with the audience.”
Adding to the sentiment, the second day of the Busan concert, June 13, perfectly coincides with BTS’ 13th debut anniversary. Furthermore, Busan carries a special connection as the cherished hometown of two prominent members, Jimin and Jungkook.

For those unable to attend in person, both Busan concerts will be conveniently live-streamed globally on the official fan platform, Weverse. Additionally, on Saturday, fans worldwide can experience the unforgettable performance through special live-viewing screenings planned in over 80 countries, ensuring no ARMY member misses out.
These two highly anticipated concerts represent BTS’ first performances in South Korea in two months, following the successful opening show of their “Arirang” world tour held in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
