Rising K-pop boy group Cortis has soared past 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify, securing the third-highest position among all K-pop boy groups. This significant milestone was confirmed by their label, Big Hit Music, on Monday.
The burgeoning rookie group achieved this extraordinary feat following the tremendous momentum generated by the release of their highly successful second extended play (EP), “Greengreen.”
Their captivating focus track, “Redred,” from the latest EP, has maintained a strong presence for over a month on Spotify’s prestigious Daily and Weekly Top Songs Global rankings, reaching an impressive peak of No. 36 on the daily chart. Domestically, “Redred” has further cemented Cortis’s rising popularity, earning the group an outstanding nine trophies from various television music chart shows.
Further expanding their global reach, Cortis has also partnered with Apple Music to curate an exclusive playlist titled “Summer Bangers,” launched on Tuesday. This exciting compilation prominently features two tracks from their successful second EP, including the hit “Redred” and the B-side track “Acai.” Additionally, the playlist includes “Go!,” the dynamic intro track from their debut EP, alongside a curated selection of music from iconic artists such as blink-182, Dominic Fike, and Nirvana.
