Netflix’s acclaimed animated feature, “KPop Demon Hunters,” celebrated a significant triumph at the 52nd American Music Awards. The film’s popular fictional K-pop girl group, Huntrix, proudly accepted the prestigious Song of the Year award for their viral track, “Golden.”
Singer-songwriter Ejae, the talent behind the singing voice of character Rumi and the brilliant lyricist and composer of “Golden,” graciously thanked the dedicated fanbase during her acceptance speech. “This movie, this song is fueled by the fans. You guys truly sealed the honmoon,” Ejae passionately stated, referring to the mythical barrier within the “KPop Demon Hunters” universe that Huntrix heroically safeguards, protecting humanity from the demon realm.
Emphasizing the profound impact of fan engagement, Ejae added, “The fact that this award is voted by the fans is what means so much.” She concluded her heartfelt address by extending deep gratitude: “Thank so much to the fans, thank you to the ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ team.”
The success story for Huntrix continues, as the group is further nominated for two more coveted awards: Best Vocal Performance and Best Pop Song. Additionally, the “KPop Demon Hunters” film itself is a strong contender for Best Soundtrack at the ongoing ceremony.
