BTS Electrifies 152,000 Fans in California, Unveils Extensive Asia-Australia “Arirang” World Tour Dates
K-pop sensation BTS captivated Stanford Stadium, turning it into a vibrant sea of Korean flags during their sold-out “Arirang” world tour concerts in California. These electrifying performances powerfully underscored the global influence of the renowned septet.
The iconic K-pop group delivered three unforgettable concerts at Stanford Stadium on May 16, 17, and 19, drawing an astounding 152,000 fans across the three-day engagement. Demand was so high that all initial tickets sold out instantly, leading to the swift addition of an extra show on May 19, which equally saw a rapid sell-out.
These three historic performances cemented BTS’s status as only the second artist ever to headline a concert at the venerable Stanford Stadium since its grand opening in 1921, joining the ranks of legendary British rock band Coldplay.
A truly unforgettable moment unfolded during the final concert on May 19. Fans orchestrated a heartwarming surprise event during the performance of “Body to Body,” a beloved track from BTS’ critically acclaimed fifth studio album, “Arirang.”
As the evocative melody of the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang” resonated through the stadium, fans spontaneously raised Korean flags they had meticulously prepared, singing along in unison. This created an incredibly powerful and emotional scene that captivated everyone present.
Towards the conclusion of the concert, the BTS members deeply expressed their profound gratitude to the ARMY (their fanbase) who organized this touching fan event. They shared how these moments were among the best of their lives, deeply moved by the incredible gesture prepared by their devoted fans.

The triumphant Stanford concerts represent merely one segment of BTS’s expansive “Arirang” world tour, which commenced in April in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, shortly after the release of the group’s critically acclaimed fifth LP on March 20. Adding to the excitement, BTS officially unveiled the highly anticipated Asia and Australia leg of the tour via their global fan platform Weverse on Friday. Kicking off in Kaohsiung in November, the supergroup is slated to perform 23 dynamic concerts across nine major cities throughout Asia and Australia.
This leg of the “Arirang” tour will notably feature BTS’s groundbreaking, first-ever concerts at the prestigious Accor Stadium in Sydney on February 20-21 next year. This monumental achievement positions BTS as the inaugural Korean act to headline at this iconic venue, which has previously welcomed global music titans such as Adele, Taylor Swift, and Oasis.
Following these milestones, BTS is poised to continue the North American leg of their “Arirang” tour with four highly anticipated concerts at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on May 23, 24, 27, and 28. Additionally, the globally recognized group is slated to attend the prestigious American Music Awards on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. There, BTS has garnered significant nominations for Artist of the Year, Best Male K-Pop Artist, and Song of the Summer for “Swim,” the captivating lead track from their latest album.
After concluding their electrifying Las Vegas performances, BTS will make a highly anticipated return to Busan for two special concerts on June 12 and 13. These upcoming concerts hold immense significance for both the acclaimed group and their dedicated fanbase, as they mark BTS’s first performance in the vibrant city since October 2022. Furthermore, the final Busan concert will coincide with the group’s auspicious 13th debut anniversary, making it a truly memorable occasion.
