Le Sserafim Members Reflect on Loneliness, Pressure, and Finding Solidarity Ahead of New Album ‘Pureflow Pt. 1’ and Expanded World Tour
K-pop sensation Le Sserafim reveals their upcoming album, “Pureflow Pt. 1,” explores themes of fear, but ultimately delivers a powerful message of overcoming these emotions through collective strength and solidarity.
Prior to the highly anticipated release of their second LP, “Pureflow Pt. 1,” Le Sserafim members Yunjin, Sakura, Kazuha, and Eunchae participated in an exclusive interview on Monday in Seongdong-gu, eastern Seoul. They candidly discussed the immense pressures and fears encountered during their journey as a rising K-pop group, and how these shared experiences ultimately forged stronger bonds among them. Leader Chaewon regrettably could not attend, as she is currently recovering from a neck injury.
For Le Sserafim’s Sakura, the surge of attention and success intensified her feelings of apprehension. “Receiving so much love for our songs and performances brought a new kind of pressure and fear about our next narrative,” she explained. “After ‘Spaghetti’ resonated so deeply with fans, there were moments when I felt overwhelmed, thinking we absolutely had to excel again this time.”
She elaborated that opening up to her bandmates about these anxieties proved crucial, leading to a profound realization that they all harbored similar concerns. “Through our conversations, I understood that we all shared comparable fears,” Sakura stated. “This mutual understanding of each other’s struggles ultimately made us stronger as a team.”
Le Sserafim’s Yunjin connected this shared sentiment to a wider phenomenon of loneliness prevalent in contemporary society. “I believe we live in a world where many individuals inevitably experience loneliness,” she remarked. “We, too, face moments of solitude and isolation. However, realizing that my fellow members share these same feelings offers immense comfort and becomes a powerful driving force, propelling us forward and fueling our continuous growth.”
Le Sserafim’s Eunchae confessed that many of her initial anxieties arose from navigating the complexities of group life for the very first time. “Living together as a team and interacting daily, it’s natural to encounter moments of friction or hurt,” she shared. “I initially feared that expressing these feelings honestly might create distance within our relationships.”
Yet, with time, the members collectively discovered that candid communication, far from weakening their bonds, actually fortified them. “As our time together grew, I came to understand that openly sharing my feelings and genuinely approaching the members significantly strengthened our relationships,” Eunchae affirmed. “Their encouragement empowered me to speak more freely and honestly.”

For Le Sserafim’s Kazuha, the upcoming tour stop in the Netherlands carries a deeply personal significance, as it is where she previously dedicated years to studying ballet.
“Performing in the Netherlands as a member of Le Sserafim holds immense meaning for me,” Kazuha shared passionately. “Years ago, I was there alone, grappling with uncertainties about my future path. Now, returning with members who feel like family, I am absolutely thrilled.”
When prompted about Le Sserafim’s aspirations for the future, Eunchae revealed that their new album provided a clearer vision. “Everyone faces fears and hardships, both big and small, throughout their lives,” she articulated. “My hope is that Le Sserafim can be a group that offers solace, courage, and strength during those difficult times. Whether through our music, lyrics, interviews, or various content, I wish for people to see us and find comfort, recognizing that we, too, navigate similar challenges.”
