BTS’s V has achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing 500 million streams on Spotify with his solo digital single, “Christmas Tree.” This impressive feat was announced by his agency, Big Hit Music, on Tuesday.
This makes “Christmas Tree” V’s fifth solo track to reach this significant streaming mark, joining his other successful singles: “Love Me Again,” “Winter Ahead,” “Fri-(end)s,” and “Slow Dancing.”
Originally released in 2021, the enchanting winter track “Christmas Tree” served as a beloved part of the soundtrack for the popular Korean drama, “Our Beloved Summer.” Notably, it made history by becoming the first Korean soundtrack to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 79.
Furthermore, “Christmas Tree” was recognized by Billboard, being featured in “The 30 Best Christmas Songs of the 21st Century (So Far)” in both 2024 and 2025 – a distinction it held as the sole K-pop track. The single also dominated global charts, securing the No. 1 position on the iTunes Top Songs Chart in over 100 regions worldwide.
