Emerging Latin pop sensation Santos Bravos, formed under Hybe Latin America, has celebrated a significant milestone by winning its first major accolade at the prestigious Spotify Podcast Awards. This achievement underscores the boy group’s rapidly expanding influence and skyrocketing popularity across Latin America.
The dynamic five-member collective, comprising Drew, Alejandro, Kaue, Gabi, and Kenneth, clinched the coveted Breakthrough Podcast award at the Spotify Podcast Awards ceremony, which took place on Wednesday in vibrant Mexico City.
This particular category recognizes emerging podcasts based on comprehensive Spotify podcast data and their cultural impact over the past year. Winners are ultimately decided through enthusiastic fan votes, making the award a powerful indicator of a group’s growth trajectory, buzz, dedicated fandom power, and listener loyalty.
Their recognition stems from their highly engaging Spotify podcast series, “Santos Bravos — La Serie,” a captivating production that offers fans an intimate look into the group’s unique formation journey, exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses, heartfelt member interviews, and updates on their latest activities.
Santos Bravos also electrified the audience as performers during the awards ceremony. They kicked off their set with the powerful and high-energy single “Kawasaki,” seamlessly transitioning to the more introspective track “Wow.” The quintet further captivated attendees by performing “Mhm” and “Velocidade,” two standout lead tracks from their acclaimed debut EP, “Dual,” completing a memorable medley.
Santos Bravos, a groundbreaking five-member ensemble, was strategically launched under Hybe Latin America. This initiative aligns with Hybe Chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s visionary “multihome, multigenre” strategy, aiming to expand Hybe’s global footprint. The group made its highly anticipated debut in Mexico last October and has recently completed a successful promotional tour in Korea, engaging with fans through various music programs, prominent radio appearances, and popular YouTube reality programs.
