K-pop artist Woodz has achieved a historic milestone on Melon’s Top 100 chart, with his hit song “Drowning” spending an unprecedented 70 weeks in the top 10. This record-breaking run marks the longest in the chart’s history, as confirmed by his agency, Edam Entertainment, on Friday.
The acclaimed track, “Drowning,” originally featured on Woodz’s fifth EP, “Oo-li,” recently re-entered the top 10, solidifying its place in chart history.
Woodz, known for his songwriting prowess, co-wrote both the lyrics and music for the track from his 2023 mini-album. Its popularity soared after a memorable performance on a television show in 2024, leading it to dominate the year-end tally on Melon, Korea’s premier music streaming platform.
In related news, Woodz also unveiled his first solo studio album, “Archive. 1,” in March. Fans can look forward to his upcoming European tour next month, with stops planned in four major cities: Berlin, London, and Frankfurt in Germany, along with Paris.
