“It is a tremendous honor to stand on such a meaningful stage shared by the entire world. We believe music is a universal language that delivers hope and unity,” BTS expressed in an official statement released on Thursday. “It is even more meaningful to share that powerful message with global audiences through the FIFA World Cup, while simultaneously helping to expand crucial educational opportunities for children worldwide.”
Global Citizen will expertly produce this spectacular halftime show, aligning it with their ongoing efforts for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. This vital fund is dedicated to fostering access to quality education and enriching sports opportunities for children residing in underserved communities across the globe.
The highly anticipated performance will be broadcast live to a global audience, with acclaimed artist Chris Martin of Coldplay creatively serving as the show’s curator.
