K-pop boy group 82Major made a highly anticipated return, showcasing a more refined and self-defined sound as they unveiled their fifth EP, “FeelM,” at a media showcase in Seoul on Tuesday.
The six-member sensation, consisting of Seongil, Yechan, Seongmo, Seongbin, Seokjoon, and Dogyun, officially introduced their new album at Yes24 Wanderloch Hall. This comeback marks their first major release since their 2025 EP, “Trophy.”
The title, ‘FeelM,’ ingeniously combines the words ‘feel’ and ‘film,’ aiming to capture a diverse range of emotional moments as if they were cinematic scenes. According to member Dogyun, the K-pop album was specifically designed to present these multifaceted emotions in a “more cohesive and immersive way,” offering listeners a profound experience.
Highlighting their strong artistic identity, 82Major proudly emphasized their role as a self-producing K-pop act, with all members actively participating in the writing, composing, and arranging processes throughout the entire album.
Central to this highly anticipated release is the main track, ‘Sign,’ a captivating mid-tempo song characterized by its restrained beat and dreamy melody. This particular track signifies a notable departure from the K-pop group’s traditionally more aggressive sound, as 82Major embraces a more controlled and mature artistic approach.
Explaining the creative process, Seongmo shared, ‘When exploring a variety of sample tracks for the album, we ultimately chose ‘Sign’ as the main track because we felt it could truly showcase a new and evolved side of 82Major. With its sophisticated, restrained beat and melodic flow, we believed it best highlighted a more mature image for the group.’

Lyrically, ‘Sign’ profoundly explores emotional connection through the evocative metaphor of a “signal” shared between two individuals. Its undeniably catchy chorus, featuring the rhythmic and memorable “tiki-tiki-tak” hook, further solidified its position as the album’s highly promoted and representative track.
Despite this noticeable stylistic shift in their music, the 82Major members confirmed that the decision to pursue a calmer, more understated concept was entirely intentional and a conscious artistic choice.
Seongbin elaborated on their creative philosophy, stating, ‘We genuinely believe that when we create music we truly enjoy and have fun working with, that positive feeling will naturally be delivered to our listeners. That’s precisely why we were eager to try something new and different with this particular track.’
Beyond the title track, ‘FeelM’ showcases 82Major’s impressive versatility with its five diverse tracks, spanning a rich variety of genres. These include the sophisticated jazz-infused opener ‘W.T.F,’ the energetic baile funk-inspired ‘Cage,’ and the uplifting house-based closer ‘Yessir!’ — all powerfully reflecting the K-pop group’s dynamic and growing musical range.

Looking ambitiously ahead, the K-pop group expressed clear ambitions to significantly expand their reach both domestically within Korea and globally. This includes exciting plans for further captivating performances and extensive tours abroad, connecting with their international fanbase.
Seongil articulated the group’s earnest desire, stating, ‘Ultimately, we want more people worldwide to recognize our unique music and our name, 82Major. Through the release of this latest K-pop album, we genuinely hope to continue growing as artists and sharing our distinct sound with an even wider global audience.’
Seongbin further added that the K-pop group sincerely hopes the album’s central, emotional themes will deeply resonate with listeners on a more personal and profound level.
He elaborated, ‘Since this K-pop album extensively explores the theme of love, we sincerely hope that people can both give and receive love through listening to our music.’ He concluded by emphasizing, ‘We also want to leverage this exciting comeback to further highlight the unique charm and culture of Korea, especially as our very name, ’82Major,’ proudly incorporates ’82’ from the country’s international dialing code, a nod to our roots.'”
