‘This Is For’ world tour spanned 20 cities and 35 shows from January to April
K-pop sensation Twice captivated approximately 550,000 fans during their record-breaking North American tour leg, establishing a new benchmark for concert attendees by a K-pop girl group in the region.
This monumental North American leg of the ‘This Is For’ world tour, one of the most anticipated K-pop tours, encompassed 20 vibrant cities and a staggering 35 shows. Running from January through April 18, the extensive tour concluded triumphantly in Austin, marking Twice’s largest-ever North American concert series.
Such was the overwhelming demand for Twice tickets that the initial schedule of 22 shows across 20 cities quickly expanded to an impressive 35 dates. Rapid sell-outs led to additional K-pop concert experiences being added in key cities like Vancouver, Seattle, Oakland, Dallas, Washington DC, Belmont Park, Hamilton, Orlando, Boston, Chicago, and Austin, alongside two extra highly sought-after dates in Los Angeles.
Fans at the ‘This Is For’ world tour enjoyed an unparalleled immersive concert experience, thanks to a cutting-edge 360-degree stage designed to engage all seating sections. Show highlights for Twice’s dedicated fanbase included captivating solo stages by individual members and dynamic performances of tracks from their 14th EP, “Strategy,” which famously charted on the Billboard Hot 100. The setlist also featured popular songs from the Netflix original soundtrack “KPop Demon Hunters,” including “Strategy” and “Takedown,” showcasing the group’s diverse musical prowess.
Following their North American triumph, Twice is poised to make even more history in Japan. The acclaimed K-pop girl group will headline three highly anticipated shows at the prestigious Japan National Stadium in Tokyo on April 25, 26, and 28. This monumental achievement marks Twice as the very first overseas act to headline the iconic venue as a solo artist. With the stadium accommodating up to 80,000 spectators per show, these concerts are set to be unforgettable events for Japanese ONCEs.
Twice’s ascendance in Japan has been a steady and remarkable journey since 2018. They consistently scaled up their presence, progressing from intimate halls and larger arenas to making history as the first K-pop girl group to perform three consecutive sold-out nights at the legendary Tokyo Dome in 2022.
Demonstrating their immense popularity and touring power, Twice has since headlined a string of Japan’s most prominent venues. This impressive list includes Osaka’s Yanmar Stadium Nagai, Tokyo’s Ajinomoto Stadium, Nagoya’s Vantelin Dome, and Fukuoka’s PayPay Dome. Their unparalleled trajectory culminated in 2024 when they became the first K-pop girl group to perform at Japan’s largest concert venue, the iconic Nissan Stadium, solidifying their status as global K-pop superstars.
