KLiK Revolutionizes Hiring with AI-Powered Korean Language Assessment for Global Talent

KLiK launched AI-based Korean language test for foreign job seekers (Worxphere)

KLiK, Korea’s leading job-matching platform for foreign nationals, operated by Worxphere, has officially launched an innovative AI-powered Korean language proficiency assessment service. This new tool aims to significantly streamline the hiring process for both employers seeking international talent and foreign job seekers in Korea.

The cutting-edge AI service meticulously analyzes users’ spoken Korean, evaluating key aspects such as pronunciation, intonation, and overall fluency from a concise 30-second voice recording. Following the assessment, users receive detailed scores across five distinct proficiency levels, accompanied by a comprehensive feedback report to guide their improvement.

Participants in the AI Korean language test are presented with practical self-introduction topics, including their motivations for pursuing employment in Korea. To assist beginners, optional guide sentences are readily available. Crucially, the validated assessment results can be seamlessly integrated into a user’s KLiK profile, serving as a verified credential to enhance job applications on the platform.

After completing their recording, users have the flexibility to review their responses and retake the Korean language assessment up to 13 times free of charge each month, providing ample opportunity for practice and improvement.

This timely new service addresses a growing need as an increasing number of Korean companies actively recruit overseas professionals, making robust Korean language verification an indispensable step in the modern recruitment process. Previously, the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) was the sole nationally recognized standard. However, TOPIK’s standardized scores often fall short of reflecting real-world speaking fluency, frequently necessitating additional face-to-face interviews for employers to truly gauge practical language skills.

Worxphere anticipates that KLiK’s latest innovative feature will significantly enhance foreign job seekers’ prospects by providing them with data-driven, verifiable proof of their Korean language proficiency. Simultaneously, it empowers them to continuously improve their Korean language skills through regular, repeated assessments.

For employers, KLiK emphasizes that this advanced tool provides a standardized, efficient method for evaluating potential employees’ Korean language skills right from the initial screening stage, thereby dramatically improving overall hiring efficiency and reducing time-to-hire.

KLiK, a market leader having recently exceeded 250,000 cumulative job postings in Korea’s dynamic foreign recruitment sector, has ambitious plans to further enhance its AI Korean language assessment system. Upcoming upgrades include the introduction of specialized training features designed to help users target and improve specific weaknesses, such as pronunciation and intonation. Additionally, KLiK is developing a smart matching system that will intelligently recommend job listings perfectly aligned with individuals’ verified Korean language proficiency levels.

Jung Hye-rung, Team Lead of the KLiK service at Worxphere, remarked, “Proving Korean language ability has long been a significant and recurring challenge for foreign job seekers. Therefore, it is incredibly meaningful that this AI-based diagnostic service for Korean language proficiency now establishes a new, more efficient standard in the hiring process.”

She added, “We are committed to continually advancing our AI-driven services to empower and activate the job-seeking efforts of global talent throughout Korea.”
