Belift Lab, the agency representing the popular K-pop girl group Illit, confirmed Monday that member Moka will be taking a temporary hiatus from all upcoming group activities due to health reasons. This decision aims to prioritize her well-being and allow for dedicated recovery.
While Moka expressed a strong desire to continue participating, her doctors have advised a period of rest and treatment. The agency stated that she will now focus entirely on her health and recovery process, though specific details regarding her condition were not disclosed by Belift Lab.
Despite Moka’s temporary absence, the five-member K-pop sensation Illit is still on track for their highly anticipated comeback on April 30. They are set to release their fourth EP, titled “Mamihlapinatapai.” Ahead of the release, Illit has been captivating fans with a series of compelling teaser content, including unique “Free Rider” promotional photographs.
Furthermore, Illit is scheduled to perform on May 5 at the Seoul Children’s Grand Park Festival. This free public event will feature the group taking the stage with a performance themed around their new focus track, “It’s Me.”
