Hyundai Motor Group is set to host its prestigious HMG Tech Talent Forum in the heart of Silicon Valley, at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, from September 17 to 18. The global automotive leader announced its strategic initiative to attract top overseas professionals and bolster its expertise in pioneering future technologies.

This significant event will feature key participating affiliates, including Hyundai Motor, Kia, Hyundai America Technical Center Inc., Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, Boston Dynamics, Motional, and 42dot, showcasing the breadth of innovation across the group.

Attendees will gain insights from esteemed executives, with keynote speeches delivered by Hyundai Motor CEO Jose Munoz, Advanced Vehicle Platform President Park Min-woo, R&D head Manfred Harrer, and Chief Human Resources Officer Kim Hae-in.

The forum offers unparalleled opportunities for networking with leading engineers and researchers, alongside engaging technology showcases. Participants can explore the group’s strategic R&D direction and vision for future mobility. Interested professionals can register via the official website, with the deadline set for June 30.

In parallel with the forum, Hyundai Motor Group is launching an integrated global hiring program, “HMG Global Tech Talent Recruitment,” welcoming applications until May 22. This comprehensive recruitment drive targets exceptional talent in critical areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, autonomous driving, smart manufacturing, advanced software and IT solutions, next-generation batteries, and sustainable hydrogen and energy technologies.

Prospective candidates must be current or expected STEM graduates from international universities. The program emphasizes technical capability and potential over prior work experience, aiming to identify brilliant minds ready to shape the future of mobility.

The structured recruitment process will commence with document screening in mid-June. Successful applicants will then proceed to two rounds of interviews in late July and September. Final interviews are scheduled to take place during the HMG Tech Talent Forum itself, with specific timelines varying by affiliate.

“Hyundai Motor is keenly focused on securing global talent to spearhead future technologies. This forum will serve as a pivotal platform to identify exceptional individuals and strengthen our technical collaborations worldwide,” stated Kim Hae-in, Chief Human Resources Officer.

Park Min-woo, President of Advanced Vehicle Platform, further emphasized that competition in the rapidly evolving future mobility landscape “is no longer defined solely by technological development, but significantly by how researchers connect and collaborate,” highlighting the crucial need for a shared innovative vision.
