Hyundai Glovis is significantly strengthening its logistical footprint across the United States, strategically establishing new, expansive facilities on both the East and West Coasts. This move aims to enhance its global supply chain competitiveness and adapt proactively to evolving market dynamics.
As the dedicated logistics arm of Hyundai Motor Group, the company announced the successful launch of a state-of-the-art logistics center in Los Angeles and an integrated warehousing solution in Savannah, Georgia, earlier this year. This strategic expansion is designed to provide robust support for the increasing local production within the country.
The newly inaugurated Los Angeles logistics hub spans an impressive 12,000 square meters, equivalent to the area of approximately two soccer fields. Its prime location in downtown Los Angeles, a mere 25-minute drive from both the bustling Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles International Airport, positions it perfectly for efficient operations.
This exceptional proximity is meticulously optimized for seamless multimodal transportation, effectively integrating sea and air freight operations for maximum efficiency.
Hyundai Glovis intends for this facility to serve as a pivotal West Coast hub, consolidating a comprehensive suite of logistics functions. These include advanced transloading services, dedicated air freight handling, extensive warehousing, and streamlined distribution services.
The cutting-edge LA center is set to dramatically improve response times for urgent shipments and offers enhanced flexibility in cost management, crucial factors in today’s dynamic market conditions.

On the East Coast, Hyundai Glovis has established a substantial integrated warehouse in Savannah, Georgia. This facility is specifically designed to manage the rising cargo volumes associated with the launch of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, the carmaker’s new electric vehicle (EV) production facility in Georgia. Additionally, it will provide critical support for other key customers across the surrounding region.
Encompassing a vast 69,000 square meters—roughly the size of 10 soccer fields—this integrated warehouse is poised to become a strategic cornerstone for Hyundai Glovis’s future expansion and logistical endeavors throughout North America.
A Hyundai Glovis official stated, “By continuously expanding our logistics infrastructure at key strategic hubs on both the US East and West coasts, we are proactively addressing the rapidly evolving global supply chain environment. Our commitment to logistics competitiveness, anchored by robust local operational bases, enables us to flexibly meet the diverse and complex needs of our global clientele.”
