Hanwha Life Insurance proudly announced its sponsorship of the 7th Vietnam Information Olympiad, a premier national IT competition dedicated to fostering emerging talent. The event, held from April 10-12 at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology in Da Nang, showcased the advanced technical skills of top middle and high school students.
Marking its third consecutive year as a key supporter, Hanwha Life Insurance backs this prestigious event through its ‘Future Plus’ global social contribution initiative. This program is specifically designed to nurture future financial and ICT talent across Vietnam, underscoring the company’s commitment to youth development and technological advancement.
The 7th Olympiad presented an expanded and dynamic structure, featuring three distinct competition tracks: Artificial Intelligence (AI), IT Major, and IT Non-Major. The Artificial Intelligence segment, significantly enhanced since its introduction last year, has evolved into a practical and cutting-edge platform crucial for developing next-generation AI talent in Vietnam.
Beyond the competitive arena, Hanwha Life also enriched the event with engaging campus tour programs for local residents and students. Interactive career exploration booths provided valuable counseling and hands-on job experiences, empowering participants to discover their aptitudes and strategically plan their future careers in technology.
Hanwha Life’s commitment extends beyond the competition itself, providing ongoing support for top-performing students. A testament to this, last year’s Olympiad winners were granted an exclusive invitation to South Korea for an intensive fintech training program, offering invaluable exposure to global financial technology trends and innovations.
Looking ahead, Hanwha Life plans to significantly expand its outreach through comprehensive academic exchange programs. These initiatives, scheduled for August, will include exciting competitions, innovative hackathons, and prestigious fellowships specifically tailored for university students, further solidifying the company’s role in cultivating a vibrant tech ecosystem.
Lim Seok-hyun, head of the planning division at Hanwha Life, emphasized the profound impact of the event, stating, “The Vietnam Information Olympiad is rapidly becoming a vital gateway for promising young talent to integrate into the dynamic IT ecosystem. We are dedicated to continuously supporting these participants as they emerge as the future drivers of Vietnam’s financial and ICT industries.”
Huynh Cong Phap, President of the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), praised the Olympiad’s role, noting, “This event serves as an essential platform for next-generation IT talent to demonstrate their full potential. Hanwha Life’s unwavering support has been instrumental in firmly establishing this Olympiad as a leading hub for AI talent development throughout Vietnam.”
