Katseye Member Manon Fuels Departure Speculation as Hybe Remains Silent, Coachella Performance Confirmed
Speculation is intensifying regarding the future of Katseye member Manon, after the Swiss idol reportedly removed the K-pop girl group’s name from her personal social media profile on Friday.
As of Friday afternoon, Manon’s Instagram profile exclusively displayed “mademoiselle manzanita,” with all direct references to Katseye noticeably absent.
Hybe, the entertainment powerhouse behind the multinational girl group Katseye alongside Geffen Records, had previously announced Manon was on hiatus citing health concerns.
While Hybe declined to comment directly on the surging departure rumors, the company did confirm to The Korea Herald that Manon is slated to perform at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 11 at the Empire Polo Club in California.
Further fanning the flames of speculation was a recent message Manon shared on the fan communication platform, Weverse.
She expressed gratitude, stating, “Thank you so much for all the love and support you’ve been sending my way. I’m really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time.”
Manon further added, “HxG (Hybe x Geffen Records) and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I’m happy and I’m healthy. I’ll share more soon.”
Manon’s Weverse update has left fans divided, with some cautioning against overanalyzing what they consider a general update, while others perceive the wording as hinting at a potential departure from the Katseye lineup.
This isn’t the first time Manon has openly addressed the challenges of idol life, having previously spoken about the immense pressures she and her Katseye bandmates encountered since their June 2024 debut, describing the experience as “very terrorizing on the mind.”
