Musinsa, the leading South Korean online fashion platform, announced record-breaking earnings for 2025 on Tuesday. The company’s impressive performance was fueled by strong growth across both its online marketplace and expanding physical retail presence, alongside the rapid ascent of its popular in-house brand, Musinsa Standard.
On a consolidated basis, Musinsa’s revenue climbed 18.1 percent year-over-year to reach 1.4679 trillion won ($958 million USD). Notably, operating profit soared by 36.7 percent to 140.5 billion won, surpassing sales growth and demonstrating significantly improved profitability.
The company’s revenue has more than doubled since 2022, when it stood at 708.4 billion won, resulting in a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27.5 percent over the past three years.
Analyzing the revenue streams, commission revenue constituted the largest portion at 38.76 percent, followed by direct product sales at 30.78 percent and merchandise sales accounting for 27.3 percent.
International expansion proved particularly fruitful for Musinsa. Exports witnessed a remarkable tenfold increase to 48.9 billion won, driven by increased activity on Musinsa’s global e-commerce platform, which now serves customers in 13 regions worldwide.
The expansion of Musinsa’s offline retail network also played a crucial role in its growth. The company reported over 32 million visitors to its physical stores throughout South Korea in 2025, as it continued to broaden its retail footprint.
Musinsa has strategically diversified its store formats, introducing specialized sneaker shops and outlet locations, while simultaneously refining its product curation strategy to cater to evolving consumer preferences.
Looking forward, Musinsa plans to aggressively pursue further international expansion. The company will launch pop-up stores in Japan in April, collaborating with prominent Korean fashion brands and forging partnerships with established local platforms. In China, Musinsa aims to accelerate the rollout of new store locations following the successful launch and stabilization of its flagship store in Shanghai, which opened in late 2025.
