Global K-pop sensation BTS has achieved a remarkable feat, topping Apple Music’s global albums chart in an impressive 115 countries and regions with their latest album, “Arirang,” as announced by the streaming platform on Friday.
The album’s highly anticipated lead single, “Swim,” also soared to the top of Apple Music’s global streaming chart. Further solidifying their dominance, all tracks from “Arirang” made a grand entrance into the Today’s Top 100: Global ranking as of Friday, according to Apple Music.
Apple Music reported that BTS achieved a record-breaking daily streaming total, surpassing all previous records for an artist on the day of the album’s release last Friday.
The internationally acclaimed K-pop group treated tens of thousands of fans to a free concert in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, on Saturday, followed by a trip to the United States. While in the US, they participated in a Spotify event in New York on Monday and made a guest appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday. (Yonhap)
