BTS Army Bomb Light Stick Prices Surge: Resale Market Heats Up Ahead of Comeback

Anticipation for BTS’ highly anticipated comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square and their upcoming April concert in Goyang is fueling a surge in demand for the group’s official light sticks, known as Army Bombs, on online resale platforms. This increased demand is causing both price increases and supply shortages for fans eager to show their support.

The Army Bomb is the official BTS light stick, a crucial accessory for fans, known as Army, at concerts and performances. The current model is the fourth version, marking the first new light stick release from the band in six years.

Light sticks like the Army Bomb have become integral to K-pop fan culture. Initially used as simple cheering tools, they’ve evolved into symbolic merchandise, embodying each group’s identity through unique colors, logos, and designs. Modern light sticks also feature Bluetooth synchronization, enhancing the concert experience by integrating with stage lighting and effects.

The latest Army Bomb has gained attention for its enhanced features, including a color range of nine different colors and a “color shaking mode” which changes the light stick’s color when shaken.

According to the secondhand marketplace Bunjang, searches for “BTS light stick” skyrocketed by 438 percent compared to the previous month and 1,764 percent year-on-year. The total transaction value also rose by 136 percent during the same period. Other popular search terms included “BTS concert” and “BTS tickets,” demonstrating a simultaneous surge in demand for concert attendance and official merchandise.

Bunjang also reported that some listings sold within 30 minutes of being posted, indicating a significant imbalance between supply and demand.

The price of the BTS Army Bomb is reflecting this high demand.

The newest version, released in February 2026, retails for 49,000 won ($32 USD) on Weverse Shop. However, resale prices on platforms like Bunjang and Kream range from 100,000 won to 200,000 won, with some transactions exceeding 300,000 won. Despite Weverse Shop restocking the Army Bomb twice, it sold out within minutes each time.

This trend isn’t limited to Korea. Similar listings are appearing on Japanese resale platforms like Mercari, indicating a growing global demand for the BTS light stick.

Kream, another domestic resale platform, reported a 513 percent surge in light stick transaction volume between March 10th and the following Monday, with individual transactions reaching as high as 300,000 won.

“Ahead of BTS’ comeback concert, fans are actively preparing for the event, which is even driving demand for older versions of the band’s light sticks that are no longer widely available,” stated an official at Bunjang.

BTS is scheduled to release their fifth album, “Arirang,” on March 20th at 1 p.m. Following the album release, the group will hold their comeback concert, “BTS The Comeback: Arirang,” at Gwanghwamun Square the next day at 8 p.m., marking their first full-group performance in over three years.
