Blackpink continues to dominate the Korean music scene, achieving over 3.6 billion streams on Melon, Korea’s leading music platform, as of Monday. The data was compiled by Melon itself.
The K-pop supergroup’s discography, including their group songs, have amassed over 2.5 billion plays. “As If It’s Your Last” leads the way with over 260 million streams, followed closely by the hits “Ddu-du Ddu-du” and “Playing With Fire.” Solo endeavors from Jennie, Rose, Lisa, and Jisoo have collectively exceeded 1 billion streams. Jennie’s debut solo single, “Solo,” boasts nearly 180 million plays, while Rose’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Apt.,” is rapidly approaching 133 million streams.
Blackpink recently made their highly anticipated comeback with their third EP, “Deadline,” earlier this month. The five-track EP achieved remarkable success, selling over 1.7 million copies within its first week and debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart. The lead single, “Go,” also made waves, entering the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 63, marking Blackpink’s 11th entry on the chart – the most for any female K-pop group.
