Tourists explored the majestic Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, captivated by the traditional changing of the royal guards ceremony at the Woldae platform.
Global K-pop sensation BTS is preparing to ignite the same historic location with an highly anticipated outdoor concert on March 21, coinciding with the release of their first new album in nearly four years, “Arirang.”
According to event organizers, BTS is expected to leverage the stunning backdrop of Gyeongbokgung, traversing past the iconic Gwanghwamun gate and the Woldae platform. They will then take to the stage, erected on the northern end of the square, to perform a mix of new tracks and beloved hits for an hour-long spectacle.
The concert promises to be a global event, livestreamed via Netflix to millions of fans worldwide.
Law enforcement anticipates massive crowds, estimating that approximately 230,000 spectators could gather in the area between the main stage and Deoksugung’s Daehanmun, with potentially up to 260,000 extending as far as Sungnyemun, where a large-scale media facade featuring giant screens is planned to broadcast the concert.
