BoA Establishes Independent Agency

K-pop icon BoA has launched her own management company, BApal Entertainment, as announced by the agency on Tuesday. This move marks a new chapter in her illustrious career.

“BoA opted for a new company structure to have greater control and freedom in pursuing her musical vision,” the newly established company stated. This transition follows her departure from SM Entertainment in December after a remarkable 25-year partnership.

BoA debuted in 2000 at the young age of 14 and spearheaded the initial surge of Korean culture across Asia, effectively opening doors for future K-pop artists on the global stage. She achieved phenomenal success in Japan, becoming the first Korean singer to have two million-selling albums recognized by the prestigious Oricon Chart.

Celebrating her 25th anniversary in the music industry, BoA released her 11th studio album, “Crazier,” last year. In addition to her album release, she collaborated with TVXQ to sing the theme song for the popular Japanese drama series, “Even If All Love Ends.”
